Manager of Customer CareWhat were you doing before Dexters and how did you join us?
Prior to joining this company, I worked in theatre management. With the challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, when theatre activities came to a halt, I discovered a new-found passion in this field. I thoroughly enjoy the work I do here and have made the decision to build my career in this industry.
Where did you start and where are you now?
I came into the company as a Consultant and have made it to Manager of Customer Care.
What is your favourite thing about your role?
One of the best aspects of being in a management role is the opportunity to influence and develop your team. You can mentor and support your colleagues, helping them grow professionally and personally. This not only fosters a positive work environment but also leads to increased team morale and productivity. Plus, you get to shape the direction of projects and contribute to the overall success of the organisation.
What advice would you give to somebody looking to get into the industry?
The property industry can be competitive and sometimes unpredictable. Stay persistent in your job role, and be adaptable to changes and challenges. Effective communication is crucial in an estate agency, whether negotiating deals or interacting with clients. Hone your verbal and written communication skills.
What’s the most exciting thing about your role?
Dexters invests in its agents through extensive training programs. From understanding the intricacies of property transactions to mastering negotiation skills, the training equips me with the knowledge and confidence to excel in my role. Dexters provides great incentives and keeps you excited to be working within such a big company.
Where is your favourite place in London?
My favourite part of London is Wimbledon Village because of all the local shops and nature. Coming from the country, I love this blend of charm and tranquillity. The area offers a cosy atmosphere with its unique shops, and the green spaces provide a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It's wonderful to find a piece of the countryside right in the heart of London, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and exploration.
