Lettings ConsultantWhat were you doing before Dexters and how did you join us?
Before Dexters, I always worked in either hospitality or retail. I gained a lot of people skills in these roles and enjoyed them, but I began to crave stability with my hours and I wanted to begin a career, which is when one of my friends referred me to Dexters.
Where did you start and where are you now?
I started my training in Fitzrovia in 2022, and have been located in the Bloomsbury office as an Office Manager, and have now decided to join the lettings team as a Lettings Consultant.
What is your favourite thing about your role?
Organisation is something that I love and is so important to know how to do if you're going to be a coordinator. I love making sure everything flows smoothly in my office and around my patch.
What advice would you give to somebody looking to get into the industry?
I've referred a few of my friends to the company and a question they always ask me is if they have enough experience to work at Dexters. I always just say go for it and show them how personable you are and you'll do great. I didn't have any past administration experience, but the training and support here is so great, it gives people the chance to achieve things that they thought they needed certain qualifications for.
What makes Dexters different?
Dexters rewards and recognises people for their hard work and that's something I really admire about the company.
What’s the most exciting thing about your role?
The most exciting thing for me is watching a sale from start to finish. Knowing how much work goes on behind the scenes and receiving thank yous from buyers and sellers is such a great feeling.
Where is your favourite place in London?
My favourite place in London is Clapham, I love the places to eat and have a drink there and there's always something fun going on.
